Job Description:
The Stand-alone Power Systems (SPS) Area is responsible for the
preparation and management of the SPS program development and
deployment.As the Stand-alone Power Systems Technician, you will be
responsible for performing complex technical tasks including the
commissioning and maintenance of Western Power SPS units.Your Role
in Action
- Validate as required and within levels of proficiency site
acceptance testing (SAT) and factory acceptance testing (FAT)
against Western Power technical requirements, applicable Australian
Standards, and design & commissioning documentation (including
ITP's, ITR's).
- Carry out audits on primary and secondary plant within the SPS
system fleet for quality and compliance.
- Assist with investigations on methods or processes of work,
plant and equipment usage, incidents, or accidents, to achieve
commercially competitive standards for safety, quality, service
delivery, and cost and customer satisfaction.
- Respond to customer and stakeholder enquiries, keep them
informed of project progress, clearly communicate obligations, and
deliver based on available resources, plant, and equipment.
- Maintain a nimble and flexible schedule adaptable to changing
conditions, priorities, and resources.What Makes You a Great Fit
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years specialist technical experience
within required discipline or experience with Networks, commercial
or industrial electrical work.
- Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of
competency required to perform the role.
- Demonstrated technical experience in advanced electrical
systems e.g. Instrumentation, alternative power supply or secondary
systems.
- Knowledge of electrical rules, regulations and associated acts
and standards.
- Coaching and mentoring experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office systems, including Word, Excel &
Access, as well as MIMS, DOCS, and other specialist
applications.
- Experience in customer engagement or service industry.
- Valid WA Driver's License Class 'C' or 'C-A'.By joining Western
