Job Description:

Our growing company is seeking friendly and empathetic healthcare professionals with a passion for helping others in a direct-care role as a Direct Care Aid/ or CNA. This is a full-time position on the evening shift. If this sounds like you, we may have the job you're looking for! As the primary caregiver, you will assist patients with varied levels of mobility with getting dressed, going to the restroom, changing bedpans, eating daily meals, and other activities of daily living. You'll also record patient vitals and note any changes in behavior, complaints, and symptoms to the registered nurse. Responsibilities:

--- Relay important data or changes of patient status to charge nurse or general physician and other facility staff as needed
--- Attend to the basic care and daily living needs of patients including going to the restroom, bathing, eating daily meals, taking proper medication dosages, and getting dressed
--- Work with patients on regular exercise as needed to maintain their mobility level and physical health


Qualifications:

--- Be able to use computer database and software programs to accurately record patient history
--- Experience and knowledge working with bedridden patients and those who suffer from age-related illness such as Alzheimer's and Dementia preferred
--- Excellent communication skills that focus on creating and maintaining positive relationships between patient and families
--- Should have strong physical stamina to reposition and lift patients from beds to examination tables for wheelchairs and move medical equipment
--- Must have completed the state-approved CNA training program and received CNA certification from a community college, vocational school, or medical facility
--- Direct Care Aid Certificate or Certified Nurse Aid
