A Corrections facility is seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens coverage. In Troy, Virginia, explore the scenic beauty of the James River by hiking or biking along the scenic Rivanna Trail. Visit the historic Michie Tavern for a glimpse into colonial life and enjoy traditional Southern fare. This role is for an autonomous NP with a Monday-Friday schedule (8 AM-4:30 PM) or the option of four 10-hour shifts. There is no call, and the provider will see 18-20 adult patients per day. Required certifications include a VA license and DEA. The practice is supported by RNs and LPNs, using a paper-based EMR with Sapphire for prescriptions. Credentialing takes approximately two weeks.
